Merciless judge of Diyu, Tian’s underworld, Yan Wang oversees the disposition of the dead. He views Ryven as an affront, for Destiny’s reordering removed some souls from his domain through resurrection, and prevented others from dying when they should have. He has petitioned the Celestial Bureaucracy to correct this wrongdoing, an endeavor that might see his influence spread far beyond Diyu.
