Story & Lore
Chang’e consumed the immortality elixir that had been gifted to her husband Hou Yi, though whether she stole it or meant to prevent its theft by others remains uncertain. Ever since, she has dwelt on the moon as its goddess. She uses her vantage and power to protect those citizens of Tian she deems worthy—often without the permission of the celestial bureaucracy.
