Mercurial Artemis is a goddess of contradictions: guardian of beasts, yet patron of hunters; goddess of the moon, though the moon is its own deity; chaste, yet associated with childbirth; protector, yet swift to curse mortals in anger; erratic, yet loyal to Order. Since the Shattering, even her priests and fellow gods are often uncertain what to expect of her.
